You must know that the Japanese
people like raw food (sashimi), especially fresh raw fish. However, Japan’s
waters don’t have sufficient supply of fish. Therefore, in order to fulfill the
high demand, Japanese boats are designed to sail the distant places. They built
large boats. The farther they sail to fish, the longer time they need to sail
back. This cause the fish they caught to become no longer fresh and fish lovers
don’t like stale fish. To solve this problem, boats were equipped with
freezers. By keeping the fish in the freezers, the fisherman could sail farther
and keep the fish fresh .
But,
customers could still taste the difference between fresh fish and frozen fish.
